10:15 am Social Hour, 11:15 am Service, 11:15 am Youth Group

Nursery care is provided during both services for children up to 6 years old.

If we ever need to cancel services, the cancellation will be posted on our website

and on the outgoing phone message from the office.

A reader’s theater production of the children’s classic “Molly’s Pilgrim” will anchor our Thanksgiving service as we explore some of the many freedoms for which we can be thankful.  Guest at Your Table boxes will be distributed.

Sunday, November 28 Bread Service

Tortillas, lefse, white bread, corn bread, rye bread, chapattis – what bread did your ancestors eat?   Please bring a loaf/stack/basket of the bread of your childhood or the bread of your heritage. The bread and the stories behind it will be shared in our Bread Service hosted by the UUCD Worship Committee.

 

Tuesday November 30th World Aids Day

5:29 to 6:29 pm: “Honor, Healing and Hope”: an Interfaith service launching our 29-hour vigil on the 29th anniversary of the first diagnosis of Aids.  The vigil is at UUCD and will include 10-15 minutes of programming every hour.  Readers, musicians, and chaplains are needed.  Please check the table in the fellowship hall or talk to Rev. Gail or music director Karen Bauman to volunteer.

Brunch 1st and 3rd Sundays

Brunch is offered between the two services on 1st and 3rd Sundays this fall.  Suggested price: $5.00 ages 13 and up; $2.50 ages 5 to 12.  Free for younger than 5.

Evening meals are planned once a month, 3rd Wednesday 5:30 PM; suggested prices $7.00 and $3.00.  Mark your calendar and don’t forget to put your name in the pot: fooduucd@gmail.com or call Rita 525-6500. To provide these meals at modest cost we need volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up.  Don’t be shy!  Join the volunteer team. Let us know at fooduucd@gmail.com or call Geiger 724-0652. Volunteers last spring were great; we hope you will continue.
